Role Overview
We are seeking friendly, creative, and knowledgeable Educators to teach sewing classes, facilitate clubs, or train customers on machine features and techniques. You’ll help create a fun, welcoming environment where students of all skill levels can learn and grow. Whether teaching a beginner sewing class, demonstrating embroidery software, or guiding a project-based club, you’ll play a key role in helping our customers gain confidence and joy in their craft.

Key Responsibilities

•         Plan and teach group classes, clubs, or one-on-one training sessions.
•         Demonstrate sewing, embroidery, quilting, and serging techniques using store machines.
•         Provide hands-on training for new machine owners, ensuring they feel confident and supported.
•         Prepare class materials, sample projects, and supply lists.
•         Maintain a friendly, patient, and encouraging teaching style for all skill levels.
•         Assist with class scheduling, attendance tracking, and feedback collection.
•         Support in-store events, demonstrations, and open houses as needed.
•         Stay up to date on machine models, features, and accessories.
•         Help promote classes and clubs by sharing photos, samples, and enthusiasm.

What We’re Looking For

•         A passion for sewing, embroidery, quilting, or crafting—teaching experience is a plus.
•         Excellent communication and presentation skills with a warm, approachable demeanor.
•         Patience and enthusiasm for helping others learn at their own pace.
•         Strong organization and reliability—able to prepare and lead sessions independently.
•         Familiarity with Baby Lock, Pfaff, or Husqvarna Viking machines (training provided if needed).
•         Availability for a flexible, part-time schedule that may include some evenings or Saturdays.

Compensation

•         Hourly rate based on experience.
