During this hands-on class, you'll learn and practice a variety of essential garment construction and finishing techniques, to know when you should use them in your own projects. Samples made during class will include: 1. 5/8 Standard seam zigzag vs. serger 2. French seam 3. Flat-felled seam 4. Under-stitch with facing 5. Sewing a dart 6. Apply bias tape/Hong Kong seam finish 7. Install an invisible zipper In addition to these techniques, we'll cover common garment sewing terminology and pattern vocabulary to help you better understand sewing instructions and make informed decisions about which techniques are best suited for your projects.
